Temples and Chill: Laos Photo Diary

The Common Wanderer_.jpg

Dense green jungle, cascading waterfalls, shining temples, a million monks, smiling locals and the best South East Asian colonial town; Luang Prabang.
This is our photo diary of chilled Laos.

The first thing you notice upon entering Laos is how pleasantly chilled it is; it seems a world away from the hustle and bustle of Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia.

The second thing you notice is how damn beautiful it is.

Think dense green jungle, cascading waterfalls, shining temples, a million monks, smiling locals and home to the pearl of South East Asian colonial towns; Luang Prabang.

Pictures tell the story better than words ever could, so enjoy this photo diary of our explorations through:

THE BEST TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY GEAR FOR LAOS

Below is the photography gear we used to get all of our shots in Laos.

  • The Sony A7RII produces brilliant photos and video

  • The original photography beast which keeps going strong, the Canon 5D MKIII produces the best colours

  • The Canon 24-70mm is known as one of the best zoom lenses on the market; it's exceptionally sharp, small and lightweight, which makes it perfect for travel photography

  • The Canon 70-200mm f4 is our favourite lens, hands down. The image stabilisation works a treat, even on moving trains!

Check out the rest of camera gear here.
